La Campagnol Variation (Jocelyn LeBlanc), the Campagnol pool is a retention pool on the Rivière aux Rochers where salmon from the MacDonald River use as a thermal refuge from mid-July to the end of August. The MacDonald River is an important tributary of the Rivière aux Rochers. MacDonald salmon use the cold water of Walker Lake because the water in the MacDonald River becomes very warm in July and August.
